Summer in Iqaluit

Ice melting Iqaluit
Ice beginning to melt as the sun shines in June

When I first came back to Iqaluit end of may beginning of June, you can see the ice breaking up and melting. It only takes a few weeks for the ice to melt completely which is vast and gorgeous on sunny days like this.

Hudson Bay
Flowing Hudson Bay Water

Once the water is open, most people head out with their boats and go hunting/fishing/ camping all summer long.

Sylvia Grinnell Park
Sylvia Grinnell Park Camping Rock Climbing

Here at Sylvia Grinnell Park people set up their tents all summer long, there is a rock climbing wall that I saw some people and kids climbing that looked fun.
